LuxRd. (pronounced “Lux Road”) is a quartet, comprised of David Driver (Vocals), Peter Kiesewalter (Piano & Horns), Whitney La Grange (Violin) and Jeremy Chatzky (Acoustic Bass). We’re seasoned professionals who have played together for years. We’re experienced enough to know that the vibe at an event is just as important as the music itself! This is why we specialize in creating a relaxed, joyful atmosphere for any occasion, big or small.
Our musical focus is The Great American Songbook–classic American popular music, with a contemporary twist. Our sound has been described as a “mini-orchestra,” in that our arrangements feature a lush interplay between voice and strings. Our sound is particularly well suited to cocktail receptions, wedding ceremonies, openings, fundraising events…and the occasional splashy high-profile gala.
Additionally, we have a group of musical collaborators who allow us to tailor our sound and size to our clients’ wishes. We can provide an easy-breezy vocal quartet to gently fill a room with soothing sounds, a classically trained string quartet to create the ultimate romantic sound during a wedding ceremony, a small jazz combo with light percussion for a more lively feel, or any number of other combinations. We’re also aligned with excellent DJs who can provide custom, collaborative playlists that will have your party guests dancing well into the night.

We also have a deep knowledge of the classical canon, and are just as easy with instrumental arrangements as vocal ones. In short–we’re ready and able to create whatever musical vibe you want.
